THROUGH THE CFT REGISTRY, SUNx MALTA IS HELPING TOURISM COMPANIES AROUND THE WORLD TO:

• Be part of a growing global community of tourism enterprises that are serious about sustainability and climate action. Registrations are predominantly accommodation providers, but include other hospitality companies as well. New listings will automatically be added to a map, which has nearly 900 registrations in September 2025.
• Meet growing green customer demand, especially by linking up with the CFT Club for Travellers. The projections for the CFT Club are 100,000 members by 2030.
• Market your property with a distinctive eco-badge, which shows that you are serious about the need to deal with climate change.
• Link to the UN Global Climate Action Portal (GCAP) and therefore obtain international recognition in the environmental world; GCAP is built into the Paris 2015 Agreement, and your registration on the CFT registry will be reflected on GCAP through our corporate partnership initiative.
• Be profiled on our social media platforms and through LinkedIn. Sunx Malta is active on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and we have a company page on LinkedIn as well as a Climate Friendly Travel group
• Get involved in local action through the efforts of a national CFT Chapter where appropriate. To date, we have some 80 Chapters, mainly in the poorer nations of the world. Chapter leaders have been trained in a two-year CFT Diploma course, which is a joint effort of SUNx Malta and the Institute of Tourism Studies.
• Develop a climate action plan either through free access to curated information on the SUNx Malta websites, or through the services of trusted third parties. SUNx Malta is also able to help develop a simple climate action plan at cost, in countries where no partner organisation provides this kind of service.
• Have access to dodo4kids  an innovative new initiative aimed at your children, to help raise awareness about climate change and sustainable development amongst kids. The project includes cartoons, e-books, games and other activities, aimed at 4 -12 year old's.
